1. Dental receptionists

Dental receptionists are your first point of contact in the office, whether on the phone or in person.

Our receptionists are an important part of our practice. They make sure to listen to your concerns and assist you to the best of their abilities.

They help you find a convenient spot for dental appointments, coordinate with your insurance providers, and perform administrative tasks.

They look after patients to ensure everyone’s comfortable while waiting for their turn in the dental chair.

2. Dental assistants

Dental Assistants are office professionals who support dentists during procedures. They have completed dental assisting programs and have met specific educational criteria, earning them the Certified Dental Assistant title (CDA).

Aside from supporting the dentist, they also fulfill several other responsibilities. Their tasks may vary depending on the office’s location.

Dental assistants may prepare tools before a procedure, communicate with patients regarding medical history and oral health care needs, provide post-treatment instructions, and offer oral hygiene recommendations.

3. Dental hygienists

Dental hygienists are licensed professionals. They complete at least two years in dental hygiene school. Requirements may vary depending on the state or country.

Dental hygienists work with dentists in looking after patients’ oral health care needs. Your hygienist removes plaque and tartar and may apply fluoride or sealants to your teeth during routine dental hygiene cleanings.

They educate you about proper brushing and flossing. They may also perform oral examinations and review your health history too.

4. Dentists

Dentists evaluate your oral health, develop individualized treatment plans, and perform restorative procedures in the dental office. They also provide advice on oral disease prevention and can detect and diagnose conditions to treat them.
